Privacy Policy
Your information, handled with care. This policy covers our website and studio interactions, including international visitors.
01Understanding this policy
“Studio Mushi,” “we” and “us” mean Redona Dida operating as Studio Mushi. “Personal information” means information about an identifiable individual. “Usage information” means information about interactions with the website or our communications. “Service providers” are organizations that help deliver those functions.
Where data-protection law uses the term “controller,” Studio Mushi is the controller for the personal information whose purposes and use we determine. Third-party platforms may independently control information they collect for their own purposes. This policy is a notice about our practices, not blanket consent to every form of processing.
02Who we are
Studio Mushi is operated by Redona Dida, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit studiomushi.co, contact us, book a call, subscribe to our newsletter, interact with our messaging automation or engage our services.
Redona Dida is the contact responsible for privacy at Studio Mushi. For questions or requests, email redonadida@gmail.com.
03Information we collect
- Inquiries: your name, email address, business details and anything you choose to share by email or direct message.
- Bookings: details you provide through Calendly, including contact information, appointment choices and answers to booking questions.
- Newsletter: information you provide to Substack, such as your email address, subscription preferences and interactions with newsletters where its settings enable reporting.
- Messaging: profile identifiers, messages, responses and preferences shared through Instagram and ManyChat automation, subject to the permissions and features used.
- Client work: business information, briefs, content, feedback and other information needed to provide agreed services. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and we have agreed a suitable way to handle it.
- Website usage: visit and page statistics, referral sources and technical information handled by our hosting and analytics providers. Shared links may contain campaign labels (UTM tags) to distinguish sources such as Instagram or newsletters; these labels are not intended to contain personal information.
The contact form prepares an email in your own email app. Filling it in does not send the inquiry to an application server or save it in an application database. We receive it only if you send the email.
04Why we use information
We use relevant information to respond to inquiries, arrange calls, provide and administer agreed services, communicate with clients, deliver requested newsletters or automated messages, understand website performance, maintain security and meet legal obligations.
Where European or UK data-protection law applies, the relevant legal basis may be steps you request before a contract or performance of a contract, consent (including where required for marketing or optional tracking), a legal obligation, or legitimate interests in running and protecting the studio where these do not override your rights. You can ask us which basis applies to a particular use. We do not treat visiting this website as consent to marketing.
05Service providers and sharing
We use service providers to support the studio. These include Lovable for website hosting and analytics, Calendly for scheduling, ManyChat for messaging automation, Substack for newsletters, and email and communication services when you contact us. We share only information relevant to the task. Providers may process some information for their own purposes under their own policies.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or security, or to professional advisers subject to appropriate confidentiality. We do not sell personal information or provide it to others for their own unrelated marketing.
For details about third-party handling, see Lovable’s privacy policy, Calendly’s privacy policy, ManyChat’s privacy policy and Substack’s privacy policy. Instagram interactions are also subject to Meta’s policies.
07International processing
We are based in Canada and welcome inquiries from around the world. Information may be processed in Canada, the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Laws in those countries may differ from those where you live, and information may be accessible to local authorities under applicable law.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for cross-border transfers, the relevant processing must be supported by an appropriate mechanism, such as an applicable adequacy decision or contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your information. Mandatory rights under the laws that apply to you remain unaffected.
08Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including client relationships, legal recordkeeping and resolving disputes. The period depends on the information, applicable obligations and provider settings; there is no single retention period for every record.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information involved. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Providers may retain information under their own policies, including limited backups or legally required records.
09Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access or correct information, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent or appeal a response. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions; withdrawing consent does not undo lawful processing that already occurred.
Email redonadida@gmail.com with your request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law. We will not penalize you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
You can unsubscribe from newsletters using the link in the email, manage your Substack subscription, or ask us to stop marketing messages. Service-related communications may still be necessary. For information controlled independently by a platform, you may also need to contact that platform.
You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the relevant authority where you live. In the EEA or UK, this may be your local supervisory authority. Contacting us first is welcome but does not limit that right.
10Regional privacy protections
Canada: Where Canadian private-sector privacy law applies, you may request access to your personal information, challenge its accuracy and raise concerns about our handling. Consent may be withdrawn subject to applicable legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice; we will explain relevant consequences.
EEA and United Kingdom: Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to our processing, rights may include access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. The availability of each right depends on the circumstances and legal basis. You may object to direct marketing and complain to the relevant supervisory authority.
California and other US states: Where an applicable state privacy law covers our business and the relevant processing, you may have rights to know or access information, correct or delete it, opt out of covered sale, sharing or targeted advertising, and appeal certain decisions. Such laws have scope requirements and exceptions; living in a state does not by itself establish that every provision applies to this studio.
Other locations: We will address requests under the privacy laws that apply to your information. Send requests to redonadida@gmail.com. We do not claim that a single policy establishes compliance in every jurisdiction.
11External links and payments
Links to Instagram, portfolio sources and other websites lead to independently operated services. Review their privacy notices before providing information. Their handling of information is not controlled by this policy.
This website does not provide a checkout or collect payment-card details. Payment arrangements for a client engagement are agreed separately. If a payment provider is used, its identity and relevant privacy information should be made available before you provide payment information. Please do not send full card details by email or direct message.
12Children’s information
Our website and services are intended for adult business clients, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
13Policy updates and contact
We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The date above shows the latest revision. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent for a materially different use of information.
